COWICHAN VALLEY REGIONAL DISTRICT
The new administration building provides a central location for all departments of the CVRD which were housed in several buildings in and around the City of Duncan.

The 2150 square meter building is located on a prominent street and reflects the urban design principles contained in the Downtown Duncan Design Guidelines. Examples of this are the landscaped forecourt which links to the on-site through-block connection; a massing and material palette which compliments the street context and a setback upper floor which provides a 2 storey base which reinforces the streetscape scale. The materials of brick, glass and wood denote strength, simplicity and warmth.
